Fifteen people have committed themselves to developing a new ministry at
First Christian Church of Maumelle. Spanning all age groups from teens on up,
these people are dedicated to perfecting puppeteer skills, building stages & props,
fundraising, and, ultimately, reaching some souls for Jesus Christ.
On Sunday, November 2, the story of Zacchaeus reverberated around our church.
The truth that Jesus loves us, regardless of our characteristics, was told by six
puppets. The audience participated in a hand bell rendition of Jesus Loves Me
and everyone joined in a prayer asking Christ to remind us how much He really cares about
us--enough to die.
Future plans include presnting a Christmas program at a local Senior home and a
fund raising dinner & a movie which will underwrite the purchase of more puppets.
